Parietex™ Composite (PCO) Parastomal mesh is a monofilament mesh providing a custom design for parastomal hernia repair. While ordinary meshes carry the risk of in-growth into the bowel, Parietex™ Composite is coated with a protective collagen-based film to help prevent tissue attachment. Its unique design provides for easy placement of the mesh for parastomal hernia repair.
All of Covidien's Parietex™ products are created from a macroporous polyester material whose properties invite healthy tissue integration and mesh compliance while reducing encapsulation.1
